Superstar Rajinikanth has reportedly decided to pay Rs. 10 crores back to the distributors and theatre owners as they incurred huge loses due to the unexpected poor performance of latest Rajni starrer Kuselan (Kathanayukudu in Telugu) at the box office. Threat for Lollu sabha guys

There was actually Four bomb-like parcels that reached TV actors Swaminathan, Manohar, TV director Rambala and Vijay TV has baffled the Chennai police. These actors and the director are associated with a program known as Lollu Sabha in Star Vijay TV. The first bomb reached Swaminathan at his residence in K.K. Nagar. On the same day the parcel also reached the other actor Manohar at his residence in Royapuram while it was delivered to the director and Vijay TV at the television office in Nungambakkam.

The bombs were actually made of firecrackers and attached with some wires and were sent by courier. The police said that it could have triggered quite an impact if meddled with. Efforts to trace the address proved futile as it was found to be fictitious. Also, the courier was sent from two places, Maayavaram and Thirunelveli by a fello called Siddarth. Police believe that it could be a fictitious name as well. The motive behind this is unknown but it is suspected that it could have been sent by someone who was hurt by the program. Lollu sabha's crime rate seems to be increasing! But the show is amazing and guys rock at it!

Dasavatharam Movie Review, Criticism, Synopsis and Storyline

Hey guys! Just came back home after watching the Kamal's Magnum opusDasavatharam movie. Please don't miss the first 15 minutes of the movie.That is the best portion among the whole package i can say.

The story line starts with the clash between vaishnavas and shivas. it is an incident that took place in the 12th century during the period of kulothunga chozha. Here comes the charcter 'Nambi'. No other avatar of kamal has impressed as nambi did. The set looks real. It will sure drive the audience to the ancient age itself. Hats off to cinematographer Ravivarman. 'kallai mattum kandal' song with such visual effect is really awesome.

The rest of the story line revolves around how the scientist kamal 'govind' invent a dreadful element, later realizing its consequence trying to destroy it but the American govt not granting him the permission. So he escapes from the laboratory with his invention but the white American Fletcher tip toed him all the way. The element was parceled to an incorrect address in india. An old hag ( very much similar to 'avvai shanmugi' kamal) receives that parcel unknowingly she puts that element into a Vishnu idol. How govind kamal along with asin recapturing that parcel and destroying it ? How fletcher kamal induces problem to the scientist? Like that story revolves. Other avatars of kamal just come and go and are of not much importance and not that effective.George W. bush character is cool i think that is the only character that had good make up cast. Tsunami at the climax is also a fantastic and clever work, interesting to watch.

First time Asin plays a dual role in the movie. She comes as a grand daughter to the old hag and also as the wife of 'Nambi' character. Mallika sherawat is really hot, she comes as a translator to the villan kamal. Napolean as Kulothunga chozha is really an artistic performance. Jaya pradha comes as the wife of punjabi kamal. Back ground music by Devi sriprasad is descent enough to have some feel. Among the songs 'Mukutha Mukuntha' is melodious and humming. Final song 'ulaganayagane' (all 10 avatars appears in this song) scores good beat.

Overall i can say it's a good movie to watch. But something is missing in the movie. I wonder how kamal included lots of masala ingredients in his movie. Rare to see such things in kamal's film. But may be the high budget would have made him to do so. An usual story line with much hype . But this movie is surely a mega hit. I would give 9 out of 10 marks for "DASAVATHARAM".

So much for her good girl next door image. She coils hard for the three songs in her designer outfits – of course, scantier than her earlier movies. The songs Kutthu madhippa and the Maasi Maasam remix song which was done shoddily, making you wonder what the point was in brutally butchering the lovely original provide ample scope for Sneha’s dancing skills. Sneha’s sexy dance moves also makes poor Namitha’s item numbers look lusterless.

While Nasser, Saranya, and Sreeman score with their performances, Lawrence looks as if he definitely needs acting lessons. 'Such was the baron of music and that was when I agnised Ilayaraja’s music has no boundaries,' Bala further said.

Bala has brought to light the lives of Agory Sadhus, who are said to be cannibals surviving on the dead in the banks of river Ganga, for the first time in Indian cinema. The movie also concenters on the lives of physically and mentally challenged people and beggars. “I wanted to engage real people in the movie and hence we had to interact with such people a lot to make them extradite the dialogues perfectly,” Bala added.

Arya plays an Agory in this movie. There are certain scenes of Arya devouring Pooja’s dead body which might pay for trouble from the censor board. However, Bala has an equally powerful climax scene in hand just suppose if the censor officials raise concern. Besides, Bala disclosed that the climax fight scene took about one month to shoot. He said that the fight scenes would be real and they had to work for a month to that effect. Thus this movie seems to convey a typical work of Bala. Let's wait for the movie to be released.

"Arasangam" Movie Review and Synopsis

Here, the Captain is back to save the citizens of India from the dangerous terrorists.Sophisticated Camera Works and the breadthtaking sets are the plus of this movie, I suppose. However, the story falls into the standard ‘Captain rescues India from the terrorist master plans’ genre. Our Captain is an IPS officer with a specialization in criminology. When India’s top brains are serial-killed and officer Biju Menon, brought in to investigate the matter, is also found dead during his flight, Vijayakanth becomes everyone's choice to nail the terrorists and foil their future plans.

He discovers about Operation Blue Thunder, formulated by terrorists from developed countries to cripple India’s growth. The operation aims at executing the nerve system of India – scientists, directors of top research institutions, economists, and politicians. Now it is left to the Captain to nab the baddies and save the country.

The director attempts succeed in the first half and lose steam in the 2nd half. After all, exotic locations and hi-fi visual fundas are not sufficient to sustain interest when the script has nothing new to offer. Nevertheless, Madesh’s source of inspiration is evident in more than a few scenes.Captain ought to shed a little more flab, it prevents him from performing his famous fast-as-a-supersonic stunt sequences. Rakhi Rajesh’s stunt proclaims his wild imagination and sadly defies all the published laws of gravity. The stunts also remain another source of inspiration for people to lose interest. Biju Menon is doing double role in this movie, excels with his subtle performance.The two songs '‘Cindrellaa’' and '‘Kooo Kuruvi’' are good but the background score is just eardrum cracking. So finally "Arasangam" is a typical Captain movie, but with a bit of difference this time.

Initial Hiccups for Dasavatharam

Earlier it was the VHP who showed strong objection for the relase of Dasavatharam. The controversy surrounding the release of the much-awaied film Dasavatharam turned ugly with a Hindu organization filing a petition at the court. According to the complainant, the film consists of scenes that depict the conflict between the Saivites and Vaishnavites.It is also alleged that Dasavatharam contains scenes that disregard the Hindu religion. Furthermore, there are scenes that show the idols of Gods and Goddesses being thrown.

The Division Bench comprising of Justices Sathyanarayanan and Rajasuriya has sought an explanation in this regard and ordered to issue notices to producer Oscar Ravichandran, director K.S. Ravikumar and the Censor Board seeking explanation. Meanwhile, Ocsar Ravichandran has issued a statement that there are no such scenes that would hurt the sentiments of Hindus. In fact, the film will play a pivotal role in converting an atheist into a theist, he reassured. But according to me, this movie must release soon. Dasavatharam is expected to show the supremacy of indian cinema over the hollywood movies.

According to the Grapevine, Vijay’s next project after Kuruvi is Singam that will be directed by Prabhu Deva. Nayanthara, the stunning babe of Kollywood, plays Vijay’s heroine in this film. Although there were widespread reports that Singam would start out on the day of Kuruvi’s release there were no such signs. Now reports flow in stating that Vijay’s busy schedule with the IPL matches has delayed the arrival of Singam. With the summer vacation on for most of the Kollywood families, Vijay is also expected to travel to some vacation spot. Will the actor prefer a wonted pooja before traveling or commence the project after the much-deserved vacation? But Vijay told in a TV show that his next movie with Nayanthara has not named yet. VHP objects "Dasavatharam"

It seems the VHP people has objections towards the Dasavatharam movie. This movie is scheduled for release in the next one or two months. As kamal's fans were eagerly awaiting the release of the film after its grandeur audio launch last week, prominent Hindu outfit Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has menaced to stall the screening of the film in theatres as it contained some objectionable references.

The VHP sees red over the film reportedly containing the clash between vaishanvite and saivite saints during the 16th century AD and wanted Ulaga Nayagan to remove such scenes in the film.VHP International Working President S Vedantham claimed ''we have information that the film contains the 16th century clash between saivites and vaishnavites during which idols were damaged.''

''If these objectionable portions are not removed, the VHP will stall screening of the films and will also stage agitations before the theatres,'' he said. However, film producer Oscar V Ravichandran was not available for his comments, and this is not the first time that a kamal's film was entangled in a controversy.

"KURUVI" Movie Review and Synopsis!

This film was a big expectation for everyone, since the same “ghillli” team has involved in this movie. “Vijay+Dharani+Thrisha” is the major reason for this big expectation too.And to begin, let me put it in a nut shell, If you go to see Kuruvi with lowered expectations, you may end up liking it. But those who are looking for big build-up sequences and large Ghilli-like payoffs - stay away.

Scaling high-rise buildings, bowing down to bullets elegantly, Kuruvi opens with Vijay in his best nonchalant style, sending his fans into raptures. If the same care and hard work that had gone into rendering a weighty build up for Vijay had also been employed in the story department, it would have been a Ghilli-like encore for this team. As it happens, Kuruvi flies short of Ghilli. Vijay having to free his father and his colleagues who have been trapped as slaves under villains Ashish Vidyarthi and Suman forms the crux of Kuruvi. The director has attempted to ride on the twin horses of action and comedy, moving the film at a very rapid pace, while simultaneously depicting Vijay at his humorous best. However, his objective seems to be too elusive and the film sags at various levels. Ashish Vidyarthi and Suman are compatriots in the quarry business who have given out a contract to Vijay's dad, Manivannan, in Cudappa, Andhra Pradesh. Diamonds that are otherwise only found in Africa are said to be located in this area, but the government issues a ban to excavate the place owing to the risk of earthquakes. But the baddies force Manivannan to go against the law and make him and his group bonded laborers. Manivannan challenges the villains that his son would avenge him once he learns of this. But the hero, who is in Chennai, thinks that his dad has gone under cover due to debts and is hopeful of his return one day. Meanwhile, a cheque for fifty lacs that Manivannan had issued as collateral towards the house, bounces-forcing Vijay to vacate their house. Vijay asks the landlords a week's time to pay back the money and sets out on a mission to Malaysia to find the person whose signature is on the cheque.

He travels to Malaysia as a kuruvi- one who is used as a runner to carry and bring back goods. There he runs into Suman's residence. A scuffle with him results in Vijay stealing Suman's diamond in a Zorro-like costume which leaves Trisha,-Suman's sister, in a mesmerizing trance. She promptly falls in love. Along with her brother, she lands in Chennai in search of Vijay. Each of them search, but with different objectives. How the lead stars reach their respective goals forms the rest of the story.

Producer Udhaynidhi has spent generously which is perceptible in the lavish sets, colorful junior artists, graphics etc. Dharani's favorite music composer Vidyasagar's tunes are already a hit and the melodious 'then then' number is a revelation, both visually and acoustically. Trisha is at her glamorous best. Ashish Vidyarthi and Suman do not have meaty enough roles to prove their mettle. Camera work and editing is slick. Vivek, who accompanies Vijay, provides occasional comic relief. And this is the simple gist of the story. Of course this is a typical commercial cum masala movie carved for Vijay. Lets wait and listen to the crowd’s opinion. But Vijay is obviously a crowd-puller.
