Richard Branson - Jack of all trades!

Branson was born on 18 July in the year 1950. He is a premiere English entrepreneur, best known for his Virgin brand of over 360 companies. His first successful business venture started at the age of 15. At sixteen, Branson left school and moved to London, where he began his first successful business, student magazine. When he was seventeen, he opened his first charity, the ‘Student Advisory Centre.’ Then set up a record mail-order business in the year 1970. Then in the year 1972, he opened a chain of record stores, Virgin Records, which is later known as Virgin Megastores and rebranded as zavvi in late 2007.

With his unique and competitive style, Branson's Virgin brand grew rapidly during the 1980s - as he set up Virgin Atlantic Airways and expanded the Virgin Records music label.

Branson is the patron of several charities, including the International Rescue Corps and Prisoners Abroad, a registered charity which supports Britons who are detained outside of the UK.

He is also a great philanthropist. He owns a registered charity organization by name ‘Rescue Corps and Prisoners Abroad’. Richard Branson was also ranked in 2007's Time Magazine Top 100 Most Influential People in the World.
