It's IIM-K's turn now. The Indian Institute of Management-Kozhikode has decided to hike the annual fee for its two-year PG programmes by over Rs 1 lakh from the coming academic year following the fee increase by elite B-schools in Ahmedabad and Bangalore.
“In principle, it has been decided to hike the fee to Rs 3 lakh for both first and second years for the batch joining in June 2008,’’ IIM-K director Prof Krishna Kumar said. The current fees are Rs 1.9 lakh and Rs 1.95 lakh for the first and second year respectively. However, the fee structure will now be uniform for both years, he said.
“The board of directors has taken a decision to hike the fee to be in line with other IIMs,’’ he said. Asked about the 100% hike effected by IIM-A, he said the IIMs had arrived at the fee hike decision after reviewing their cost structures. So Lets wait and watch for the remaining 3 IIM's decision.
