Nandan, son of reputed director Mani Ratnam and actor cum director Suhasini, has purportedly chosen a field different from that of his family. Blobbed at the 19th All India Congress of the CPI in Coimbatore, this 17 year old former Mylapore Vidya Mandir lad was serving as a volunteer at the meet. He has also indited a 27 page pamphlet on Leninism, titled contours of Leninism which is on sale at the venue along with other red literature.
When interviewed him, Nandan said that his interest in reading has attracted him to Karl Marx and his ideologies. According to him, Marxism is the most potent, comprehensive and highly developed complex of theory and practice. To a question on his parent’s reaction to this, the teenager was not very sure of the same. Nandan is found to follow a unique path!
