Dasavatharam audio release on 25th April!

Atlast the audio release date of the movie is confirmed. phew! Dasavatharam is considered as the most expected film of the year from ulaga nayagan “Kamal Haasan” and K.S. Ravikumar. As everyone knows, this big budgeted film will showcase Kamal in ten different get ups and some his stills were also in the media lately. The audio release of the film was initially slated to be on the 2nd of April but is now postponed to the 25th of April. This kitsch event will be held at the Nehru Indoor Stadium wherein Martial arts exponent Jackie Chan will be releasing the first audio cassette. Leading celebrities of the glamour world are expected to be present in the event along with Kamal Haasan, Chiranjeevi and ilayathalapathi Vijay. Industry rustles reveal that a stage just like the Oscar Award ceremony stage is being laid and unit hands are working hard at this. This event is sure to be a star-studded show. And this movie is going to rock for sure and the hardwork of kamal will be definitely appreciated. Hats off!

Makhaya Ntini, A great fan of Rajinikanth!

Makhaya Ntini seems to be a great fan of our Superstar Rajinikanth. And the Rajini mania has spread even upto South Africa. The visiting South African team's paceman Ntini has recently confessed his obsession to the rajini's movies and his style in particular. He is surely to be impressed by Rajinikanth's style dialogues and shows the actor's famous finger gestures for Baba. Moreover, he says the 'Peraketaale Summa Adirudilla' tagline often, from the last year blockbuster Sivaji flawlessly that stands proof to the number of times he watched the movie. Not only sivaji, but also he declares that he has watched Baba many times from where he picked up the finger gesticulation. Ntini's revelation has earned him many great fans in Chennai where he is stationed along with his team for the first test cricket series against India. Kuruvi is "Guru V", Mystery revealed:

Atlast the mystery behind kuruvi’s title is revealed. A bit of secret suggests that the name of ilayathalapathi in the film is Guru Vijay who is called Guru V in short which tells the title of the film. Secondly, people who are used to illegal smuggling of stuffs across the borders of countries are also called Kuruvi. This definitely throws some kind of light on the film.

And the Kuruvi team flies to New Zealand to picturize duet sequences involving Vijay and Trisha in addition to the already shot scenes in various scenic areas. Moreover, there would also be an item number when Vijay would be dancing with Malavika. Generally in Vijay’s films, a separate fast paced number with extra-ordinary dance movements will be the highlight of the film like Aal Thotta Boopathy in Shah Jahan, Kumbidapona Dheivam in Thirupaachi etc. So according to the stats, this number of Vijay and Malavika is sure to send fans into skies. The most awaiting Cricketing Series "The Indian Premier League" matches are planned to begin on April 18th, 2008. Around eight cities are participating in this sporting event for which cricketers were teamed up based on an auction. Chennai Super Kings is the IPL team of Chennai.

Speaking about this film, he told that the cricket video would create a huge impact among the audience and this will definitely be a boost for the Chennai IPL team. And they are gonna rock!

Block Grant for 7 IITs and IISc

Block Grant for the 7 IIMs and IITs: Today, the Union Cabinet approved to increase the Block Grant for the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bangalore, from the year 2007-08 over and above the level approved by the Cabinet on May 16,2005, by an ad hoc amount.

Of the increased amount Rs. .73 billion will be released during the year 2007-08. The balance increase of Rs .72 billion due for 2007-08 will be released in 2008-09 along with the ad hoc Block Grant for financial year 2008-09.

The Cabinet also gave its approval for undertaking of comprehensive exercise, ahead of time to revise the Block Grant scheme in a rational manner.

The decision will help in restoring the financial health of IITs and IISc in Bangalore. They have also proposed to start new IIMs and IITs.

Sachin has preserved all his 'Century bats'

Sachin Tendulkar has more bats than any sport goods shop as he has kept all the bats with which he scored 81 Test and one-day centuries so far.

The master batsman, who has scored 39 hundreds in Tests and 42 in one-day internationals, however, said he did not know how many bats he had collected so far.

"I have all the bats with which I have scored hundreds (in Tests and one-dayers). I don't know how many bats I have but I have kept all of them," he said.

IPL money will be used to enhance infrastructure!

The money generated through the Indian premier League will be used to improve cricketing infrastructure, former Indian captain MAK Pataudi said on Tuesday.

He said money will be used to improve infrastructure so that not only cricketers, but spectators too are able to take benefit of the improved facilities."Both the players and spectators should get best facilities," Pataudi told reporters here.

Pataudi, who is a member of the Indian Premier League committee, will be inaugurating a two-day IPL seminar for the curators and turf managers at PCA stadium in Mohali tomorrow. When told that rebel ICL's second edition of Twenty20 had failed to attract crowds, Pataudi said this would not be the case with IPL.

"Our event is on a much bigger scale and enjoys the backing of BCCI and ICC," he said.

Malaysian Trio are ready to rock in vijay's "kuruvi"!

The trio, which impressed everyone by its stealing performance in films like 'Sivi' and 'Polladhavan', and in the album ‘Vallavan’, is now set to enchant in Vijay starrer 'Kuruvi'.

The surprising element of the song in ‘Kuruvi’ is that the famous rappers have tried their hands in folk music. Vijay has danced to their lively song set in a folk tune rendered in a refreshingly different manner.

The team will also perform in a private TV channel musical show soon. The ‘talent hunt’ show, to be aired in a leading TV channel, will feature four songs (Engeyum Eppothum from 'Polladhavan' and the rest from their album 'Vallavan') sung by them.

Meanwhile, Emcee Jesz’s musical troupe ‘Natchatra’ does an original sound track in Venkat Prabhu’s forthcoming film ‘Saroja’. The track will be a Tamil hip hop song.

"Kuselan" pooja held today!

The pooja of Rajinikanth’s forthcoming Kuselan was held at the AVM Studios in Chennai this morning. The Pillayar temple at AVM Studios was a buzz of activity as it was here that the pooja was held.

Kuselan is jointly produced by Kavithalaya Productions and Seven Arts; it stars Rajinikanth, Pasupathy, Meena and Vadivelu in the lead roles. Music for the film is by G.V. Prakash Kumar while Arvind Krishna handles the cinematography. The film is directed by P. Vasu, who directed Rajni in Chandramukhi.

With Balachander at the clapboard and P. Vasu in the director’s chair, a shot of the famed Pillayar was taken by cinematographer Arvind Krishna thus officially (and auspiciously) launching the shoot of Kuselan.

Producers AVM Saravanan, Ramkumar, actors Pasupathy, Prabhu, Meena, Jeevan, Vedivelu, directors K.S. Ravikumar, K. Balachander, Shankar, S.A. Controversial TVS "Flame" to be relaunched!

In order to cut losses on account of the patent dispute with Bajaj Auto, TVS Motor Company will re-launch the 125 cc Flame with a single spark plug ignition next week. The company has registered a total two-wheeler sales of 95,235 units in February 2008 against 1,20,110 units in the corresponding period last year, while exports witnessed a quantum growth of around 56 per cent.

The company incurred a loss in the motorcycle sales which stood at 46,565 units in comparison to 70,155 units recorded in February 2007. Also, the non-availability of the recently launched 125 cc TVS Flame has made the company practically absent in the executive segment, which forms approximately 50 per cent of the market.

According to company sources, the much awaited Flame will be launched next week along with the three-wheeler launch slated this month. The new 'Flame' will use a new and unique engine, specially developed, patented and licensed to TVS Motor Company by AVL, Austria, the world leaders in internal combustion engine technology.
